Originally a name tag attached to a hunting hawk. In the past, Koreans loved hawk hunting, and people would sometimes steal someone else’s hawk and “take off the Si-chi-mi” to claim it as their own. Now, it refers to the act of feigning ignorance or “playing innocent” after doing something sneaky.
